Edgar County Ambulance works closely with the Paris Community Fire Protection District First Responders to provide citizens of Edgar County in rural areas with a minimum of basic life support prior to the arrival of the Advanced Life Support Ambulance. These "First Responders" are generally volunteer firefighters who donate their time and resources with little or no compensation.
